One Last Job

“She’s so weird,” Bailey mutters with a roll of her eyes. “And what’s with her still stealing your credit? You need to get out of there, babe. Start your own company. You know you’d smash it.”

I couldn’t agree more!

I’m actually helping future me by getting a jumpstart on this all now. It doesn’t work.

We’re in a Nando’s and he made me order water so we wouldn’t have to pay for the refillable sodas.

The only thing this bwoy could’ve made me do is get up and leave willing!

But it’s funny how quickly anxiety can eat away at logic.

He shrugs, that big grin still going strong. “You said you don’t drive.”

Clever fella

add “seeing her blush” to my rapidly growing list of my favourite things about her. It sits right there between “the sound of her laugh” and “that look she gives me when I’ve annoyed her.”

She’s joking, but I’m not. If she’s asking, I’m buying.

Title drop. Sometimes these give me “the ick” but it was inserted well imo.

I’m starting to think that a lifetime wouldn’t be enough. But I’ll take what I can get for as long as she’s willing to give it to me.
