37But, though he performed so many signs before them, they did not have faith in him, 38So that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “Lord, who has trusted our report, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” 39For this reason they could not have faith, because again Isaiah said, 40“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that with their eyes they might not see and with the heart they might not understand and turn, and I will heal them.”
