Scars were funny things. Some people wore them like a badge of honour, some people hid them, and some didn’t seem to think of them at all. Then there were those of us that had ours on the inside. Sometimes the ones no one could see were the deepest.
‘Sometimes it’s even harder once you’ve invested in something. Leaving means giving up on that, which is hard. Even when you know it’s the right thing to do.’
