found a job as an assistant to an interior designer. She was from a similar background to me and also a fan of the ballet. I loved going with her to houses and making notes about how she thought the space could be transformed into what the clients wanted. And she was wonderful to me. I was lucky to have quite an easy pregnancy, not affected by morning sickness, and generally felt very well. I think being so young worked in my favour in that respect at least.
