I’d never seen so many rich people so passionately committed to equality—without giving anything up. They thought they were championing the poor, but it was all just talk and theater and self-indulgence. They had no idea what the poor really wanted, which was just to fucking rise and get some respect and maybe stick it in the face of their former bosses.
