“You’re crazy.” A big smile splits his face. “You mispronounced awesome.”
“You’re my favorite person. You’re my person. There’s nothing about you I would change. You hear me?”
“I’ve got you.” Always and forever.
“Fuck yes!” Brendon shouts. “That sounds like a terrible idea, and I’m one hundred percent on board for this.” He caps the pen and slaps Jeremy’s shoulder. “You should put pants on, though.”
“I want it on record that this is a stupid idea, and I will not be taking any responsibility.” “Duly noted and ignored.”
The smile drops from his face, and it turns serious. “Because you’re my person.”
“What flavor was that?” Jeremy asks with a disgusted look, scrunching up his face. “I don’t know. Blue.”
“It’s the naughty word list,” he says like it’s obvious.
“Don’t ever make me be the adult again. That shit sucks.”
“Oiler’s Pizzeria and Crematorium, our ovens are always on.”
“Your evil laugh needs some work, my guy.”
“We’re a fam-damn-ily,” Brendon says, petting the pup. “No getting away from us now.” I lift my face to his and kiss him softly. “We can’t keep chickens in our dorm room.” “You are the sucker of fun!” he groans.
