love and connection make you special, of course. But you don’t get to do marriage right, better, or differently than any of the rest of us. Sure, every marriage is unique, but you’re still both going to break promises, protect each other, and sometimes gut each other. You’re going to fall apart and come back together. Maybe even consider divorce a time or two, or twenty, and it’s just the fucking journey
