My gaze caught on some long brown hair that was flying through the air as the owner of it attacked their opponent relentlessly, drilling them to the ground. Suddenly, I needed some fresh air. I had to be down there.
"I want you, Thorn," she whispered, her lips brushing against my own with every syllable. I wished she'd called me by my real name but not enough to actually say anything about it.
“I want you to observe how fluid and instinctual her motions are.” Which was almost a guarantee I would be jerky and stilted.
Maybe he wouldn’t have been so disgusted by what I was that he forgot who I was.
