The starting point for all that the Bible knows as wisdom is the knowledge of God. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight” (Proverbs 9:10). This is the principle that controls all of Proverbs—that to know wisdom, one must first know the Lord.
