A woman initially becomes submissive when she is with a control freak, because she sees that he is strong. Over time, she realizes that he doesn’t allow her to do anything. She will start to pull away and test, as women do, and he will react negatively because he is coming from a place of fear. He fears losing the person he loves, but the very fact that he fears it makes him become abusive in the way he operates, in an effort to exert further control.
