I saw that the flower grew. I saw how the sun causes all things to grow. But I also saw that by noon, that flower was dried out and dead. In a way, I could actually, physically feel the rightness of this—that there’s a beginning and end of physical things. It showed me that it was okay this moment had passed. A flower grew under me, where no one would expect it to. It was beautiful, moist, and full of life. Then by noon, it was dry and dead. It had run its course.
