Some say each year and each season started always on Wednesday, which was the fourth day of creation and the day when the lights in the sky, the seasons, the days and the years were created. Others claim the calendar began on Sunday, the first day of the week. To reconcile this calendar with the exact 365.24219 days they added a week every few years, in order to have the year always to start on Wednesday or Sunday, according to which scholar one believes.
