I held out a hand. “Tablet.” She quickly passed it over. “His name is Ash. Twenty-two. Light brown hair. Dark eyes,” she muttered, rattling off the details. “He’ll be one of the first ones up. It’s a commodity to have a well-refined male to sell.”
He’s a fucking mess. Maybe that’s what I like about him.
Shit. If I’m not careful, I’m going to fall in love.
A monster I know or the monster I’m falling for. What’s the better option?
Our father was the biggest whore on the planet. Three women, four sons, and three half-brothers left in his wake. Somehow, we got along. We formed deep bonds. Nothing and no one could tear us apart. They’d tried, yet we were still going strong. I glanced at Enzo. He was like me, tossed out into the world, both of our mothers long dead. The only one who still had a breathing mother was Benito, and he didn’t even talk to her until she came back around needing something from him.
One minute I was my normal self. The next, I was dying to be beside him, to touch him, feel him, be all over him until he was crushed by the weight of me. Ash was an addiction just waiting to happen.
Ash slapped my stomach hard, making me grunt. “Asshole!” “Yeah.” I grinned as I wrapped my arm back around him, and he settled against me once more. “But I’m your asshole.”
Determination bled into Ash’s eyes. “We all die, and shit happens. I’m not going anywhere.”
I’m going to marry you, Ash. You don’t know that yet, but I sure as fuck do.
“You’re crazy,” I muttered. “You haven’t seen crazy yet.”
