These God-approved elements are Scripture reading (1 Timothy 4:13), preaching (2 Timothy 4:2), singing (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16), prayer (1 Timothy 2:1), the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper (Acts 2:41—42), and giving (2 Corinthians 16). If we are to worship in truth, we may not add any other elements based upon our own ingenuity or creativity.
