“You’re hugging my pillow.” “Smells like you. Helps me sleep.” I brushed his hair aside and pressed my lips to his throat. “That’s a beautiful thing to say.
“I look at you, angel, and I want you so badly. I want to be with you, listen to you, talk to you. I want to hear you laugh and hold you when you cry. I want to sit next to you, breathe the same air, share the same life. I want to wake up to you like this every day forever. I want you.”
“I’m happy with you, Eva. You make me happy.” “I’ll make you happy the rest of your life,” I promised him.
He caught my hand and rubbed his thumb over my ring. “Crossfire.” My heart hurt in the best way. “Love you, too, ace.”
WE danced on the beach by the light of the moon.
“Sweet dreams, baby,” I whispered, wrapping my arms over his around my middle. His mouth curved against my neck. “My dreams already came true.”
