The idea for the story began to take shape through two parts of Nick’s life. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and founder of ClearMind Capital, he has spent years sitting across the table from families talking about goals, dreams, and the future. In those conversations he noticed a common pattern. Many people quietly believe life will finally feel complete once they reach a certain milestone. Someday things will slow down. Someday they will feel happy. Someday they will feel at peace.

At home, Nick’s goldendoodle Ollie seemed to live by a different philosophy. Ollie had a way of enjoying the moment exactly as it was.
