Born and raised in the vibrant ocean state of Rhode Island, M.Z. Medenciy is an Ecuadorian-American author with a zest for life. If there are lands to be discovered, stories to be told, or fun to be had—you can count on her to be there.

Her debut novel, "Island Eight," published in October 2022 and a winner of the 2023 Latino Book Award, is the first installment in the thrilling Ataraxia series. M.Z. is a proud member of the ISLA - International Society of Latino Authors and ARIA - Association of Rhode Island Authors.
