I am a first time writer and illustrator who is fulfilling a life long dream of creating art for everyone to enjoy. I say that my artistic style in practice is inspired by the whimsical illustrations of Eric Carle and the textured and colorful works of Gale Kaseguma although I have an affinity for most visual arts. I also have a fascination and respect for Shakespeare's ability to write almost entire plays in sonnet. I am currently combining these loves to create for the youngest audiences books with the pleasant lyrical meter of sonnets while illustrating in my own style. I have a fondness of words and a desire to create. Although Ten Cats on a Fence is my first book there are more on the way

A Really Long Break...sort of

I'm back, at least today I am. We have had a really whirlwind, no pun intended, kind of month.

If you have read one of my books you know I live in Galveston near the beach. What many may not know is that Galveston is an island right off the coast of Texas which happens to be not too far from where Hurricane Harvey decided to land about a month ago.
