Lydan Francis is a science fiction and fantasy writer forever cursed with a fascination for exploring the relationship between technology and nature. From his vast experience in ocean sciences and marine conservation, Francis crafts a diverse collection of worlds, settings and characters within his space adventure epics. He is also a Blender fanatic and electronic music producer, and for some reason enjoys the occasional swordfight with menacingly complicated computer systems. He shares a quiet farm with his wife, some strange furry things, a few nonchalant tortoises, plenty of noisy birds and far too many frogs.

I like to call it in a science fiction sense: THE NEXUS PARADOX. Your story is full of key nexus points, places where the direction changes as the story evolves. It takes time and experimentation to figure out which direction works, but if you pick the wrong one, the story eventually contradicts itself and slowly becomes nonsensical (paradox). When that happens, you backtrack to the nexus point and find a new direction. I've had to roll back whole chapters because of it, but that's just the way it is. (less)
