Daria Francisci is an Italian urban fantasy author with deep artistic roots. Granddaughter of film director Pietro Francisci, creator of the acclaimed "Hercules" (1958) starring Steve Reeves, and great-granddaughter of painter Franco Gentilini, Daria brings a strong cinematic and visual sensibility to her writing.
Her debut novel, "Il Grande Risveglio" (The Great Awakening, 2026), explores themes of resistance, media manipulation, and freedom of thought in a dystopian setting where anthropomorphic creatures and humans fight against an oppressive Elite that controls the population through television propaganda.
Daria writes with an intuitive process, "seeing scenes cinematically" and letting her characters guide the narrative. She writes mainly at night, accompanied by jazz and film soundtracks, an atmosphere she considers essential to her creative flow.
On her blog (longdariavampysilver.net), she shares drafts, poetry, and visualizations of her characters, creating a bridge between her Italian artistic vision and an international audience.
