I just read that Ridley Scott will begin shooting a movie based on Child 44 this year with it in theaters sometime mid 2015. I agree that this is a book that absolutely must be read by every serious reader. Marvelous premier book by Mr. Smith. I liked all the books in this trilogy. I also enjoyed his latest book "The Farm". Very different and very well written. This author is in my top three favorites.
