"I am not one for historical fiction, but The Book Thief was and continues to be one of my all time favorite novels. I find myself coming back to it time and again for the poignant, whimsical narration, and the well crafted narrative. Given that the book is set during WWII it will tug at your heart strings and make you cry but it continues to be one of the most re-read books on my bookshelf. Highly recommend. "
