"For a new fan of all things Tudor, this book explained a lot about the time period as a whole. One of the first things that you learn is that marriage has little to do with love, but political gain. If you happened to fall in love with who you were married to then kudos to you. This book is filled with great information. In my opinion, this one might be a little difficult if it is your first Tudor book. Trying to keep up with all of the names and how they are connected in this web, can be a bit overwhelming. But, all in all, a great read if you have the time to read a legnthy book on Henry VIII.
