"I had a hard time with this book, and I love Neil Gaiman. In fact, when I first read the novel (well before the film came out) I remembered thinking that it read like a movie. And apparently it did, because the movie was awesome."

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2)

"In many was this was the simplest and weakest of the Harry Potter novels. That sparsity actually allowed the movie to capture the full essence of the book, and add in full and vibrant visuals where previously there had been none."

The Box of Delights (Kay Harker, #2)

"I may be biased, as I discovered this story through its BBC adaptation, but I felt the cinematic version did a much better job of capturing the magic of the story than Masefield's children's tale."

"Aside from the title character the book and film have very little to do with each other, and I love the World War II setting."
