Jolley-Rogers & The Monsters Gold
by
"Not specifically designed for struggling readers but the fun stories and amount of pictures to text made them very exciting to read. probable suitable for the under 10's my dyslexic kiddo wasn't able to tackle the vocabulary of this text on her own but we shared the reading with her doing the bits she could do herself."

Fish in a Tree

"This book is great for kids who feel 'different' to identify with. It's up lifting as shows how 1 adult can change the lives of the kids they work with."

Rory Branagan (Detective) (Rory Branagan, #1)

"This series of books aren't designed for dyslexics but they have a really high image to text ratio and look just like a standard chapter book. They are funny and exciting."

Lego Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
by
"These books aren't specifically for reluctant or dyslexic readers but they are Lego and Starwars which helps with the interest levels, the fonts are clear, there's lots of pictures, the stories are simplified and the sections short. We had some trouble with the white pages but the black pages were great. Some of the vocabulary is a little tricky with alien names etc but it didn't effect the flow of the story. The best thing about these books was that my kiddo wanted to read the next ones!"

"Alfie Small books aren't specifically designed for dyslexics but they have simple but exciting stories, great illustrations, clear fonts, well spaced out text and not too much text per page. The choice of vocabulary is pretty good which makes them quite accessible perhaps with a little support."

"Dyslexia specific. Fairly good story. Plenty of images but quite a lot of text to page. Not sure it would hold the attention of older readers but it requires quite a good level of ability to tackle totally independently."
