The Last Banquet of Temporal Confections
by
"Such a fantastic story. The idea of baking memories into pastries means the story is constantly building itself *forward* at the same time it's flashbacking backwards, filling us in. Tight, compelling, brilliant."

Astounding: John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, L. Ron Hubbard, and the Golden Age of Science Fiction
by
"A *fantastic* nonfiction book, delving into the personalities and the era that shaped the science-fiction genre just as it was gaining popularity.
The key players -- Campbell, Heinlein, Hubbard and Asimov -- are fascinating and also really messed up. Reading about their lives, interactions, and how they bounced off one another is both fascinating and tragic. I absolutely ripped through this book, and I hope the Hugo puts this one in front of more readers." |
