Carol Would Heidi count? Her grandfather was a hermit.

Oh, good one! I will add it right now. I love hermits but this one in The Stranger is very different. I feel sad for him as he needs to be alone and cannot stand to be around other people.

Yes, but I just can't think of any possibly due to low pulse - 51 today! (so I had a cup of coffee to speed it up some)

~☆~Autumn My husband walked by so I asked him and he said Robinson Crusoe! Course he had his man Friday for awhile.

Not that I know of but will google to see if I can find it.

~☆~Autumn Google says there are two. One by Thomas Rhysdale. Will see if I can get it to come up here.

~☆~Autumn Thomas Rydahl. I sure had a hard time with the spelling of his name.

Be sure to let me know how it is as I loved Tao Te Ching and also Julian of Norwich which I purchased. Tao Te Ching is too confusing. I think this book about the stranger in the woods may be the most interesting book I have read this year and Eleanor was very interesting too.

Carol Will do. If I don't get off my reading schedule, I should be reading it around April 2018

~☆~Autumn I am so far behind that sounds about right to me! There are 4 books waiting for me at the library right now. I keep ordering too many but if I get a boring one at least I have another one to move on to.

Carol Sounds like how I am operating...

message 16: by ~☆~Autumn (new)

~☆~Autumn Well, at least we read more! Before I got on Goodreads I only had about 75 books a year. I also abandon more books as I only want to read the really good ones.

message 17: by Carol (new)

Carol I know! I regret I didn't have better records of what I read, back in the day. I know I am missing a lot of good books that I have read.

message 18: by ~☆~Autumn (new)

~☆~Autumn I feel the same. I kept a diary for years but often was too busy to write down what I was reading.

Carol I asked our librarian if i could get a list of books i read from yrars ago. She said they dont save that. I guess so big brother doent use it...
