Bettie I remember a Noddy book that had him and Big Ears *gasps at the politically incorrectness of it all* waiting in the car at some rather splendid traffic lights. Can't find that one now.

I think of the Beatles on their Zebra Crossing, and another book (no idea at all) with a lollipop lady holding up a 'stop children crossing' sign. Luckily, children did cross and life has gone on

I had no idea! My husband has a book of all the Historical road signs of Texas and one of New Mexico. Everytime he sees a Historical marker on the side of the road he pulls over to read it! After a few years of this my son and I began to call them hysterical markers as we became hysterical over it. (laughing) Now he can just read the book.
When he gets home from work I will ask him to get the book so I can add it by title. I do not recall the name of it at all.
