Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World
by
"The Lusitania cover-up was not sold to the American people out of sentimentality. The US was selling munitions to Britain, and needed to make sure that munitions got there. The customer is lost if he cannot carry his goods home. So the financial background is indispensable to understanding the whole context of the Lusitania. "

Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania
by
"Erik Larson is the Little Red Riding Hood of Lusitania authors. He wanted to write a story about people on a luxury liner who were torpedoed at sea. But he found himself in the middle of one of the core political cover-ups of the twentieth century. "My what long teeth you have Grandma." But, that said, he does have an entertaining story that brings people over the threshold of this important historical event. "
