I've only read the first book so far, but as of the ending (view spoiler)[we don't know what has happened to one of the main F/F couple (not the gray-a character). I wouldn't call it tragic, but it's not 'and they rode off into the sunset' either. I'm hopeful that she is still alive, mainly because the author isn't a straight cis person writing for other straight cis people, so I trust them more not to do the tragic queer romance thing.
