Fantasy with animal characters. YA covers a wide age range and can be hard to define. Certainly they are not, not YA.
If you have a narrower definition in mind, as in contemporary fiction without fantasy, we can work to that definition. I've added one book like that set in Cornwall.
I have recently got an SF book set in Cornwall but have not read it so I am not sure of the age range.

It might have animals, but The Wild Road didn't feel like YA when I read it. You can have tropes like that and be an adult novel. I don't own the list, so I can't say what the curator wants.
