1	Mistborn: The Final Empire (Mistborn, #1) by Brandon Sanderson (Goodreads Author) 4.48 avg rating — 1,094,352 ratings "I hadn't actually thought this was a magic system when I started the book, it just seems like a science, or an ability, which just makes it a superb magic system. It is intricate and complete (sides, there are like three interrelated magic systems)." Lore rated it 4 stars See Review	Error rating book. Refresh and try again. 2	Gardens of the Moon (Malazan Book of the Fallen, #1) by Steven Erikson (Goodreads Author) 3.94 avg rating — 145,541 ratings "THIS IS THE BEST MAGIC SYSTEM EVER. Erikson does not bother explaining to you how it works, you have to figure it out and it is brilliant, the rules are explained and broken. The magic is a vital part of the character's lives and the plot." Lore rated it 5 stars See Review	Error rating book. Refresh and try again.
