Thanks, Riku. I thought explanations were in order. Your creation of this bucket list challenge was a master stroke. I did my best to concentrate on the books that made major contributions to the manner in which I came to view life. And, in doing so, I attempted to list the books in the order I read them. I will continue to follow this list with great interest. Some choices seem to be made strictly on a literary opinion rather than the list's purpose. But, then, that depends on the age of the reader. Being a senior citizen now, I've much more to look back on. *laughing*

Absolutely not. All have literary merit and all have had a lasting impression on my perspective on life. I was referring to comments regarding the lack of particular authors being listed which seemed to me to be on the basis of literary merit only and not the listed purpose of the bucket list challenge.

Yes. Correct. Authors might have literary merit, but might not really produce a life-changing work. And sometimes the simplest of books might have profound impact (something like Anne Frank?)...
