North and South - the 2004 BBC TV serial (one of the best ever), The Rainbow - the 2011 BBC TV serial... (the adaptation used a mixture of both this and Women in Love. Not the best but the material taken from The Rainbow was excellent), Persuasion - the 2007 TV film (the only adaptation I saw of the novel, but I believe that made me want to read it).
