The Giver (The Giver, #1)
by
"Difficult to name this as Sci-fi or Fantasy, but definitely dystopian. Great for all ages and deals with difficult topics of free choice and societal good. "

Out of the Silent Planet (The Space Trilogy, #1)
by
"First of a Trilogy. The Hero is a philologist! Got to love Lewis for making a professor of languages into a space explorer. This and Perelandra are good for the young adult. The final book, That Hideous Strength: A Modern Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, is indeed for adults or more mature readers. Parts can be very disturbing. "
