Heh, I saw The Twilight Saga as number one on your list and was shocked, until I noticed what this list was for, heh. I'm surprised about Bridget Jones's Diary though. Twilight doesn't get much acclaim in circles beyond the mass-market teen girl crowd, but Diary usually gets a lot of praise. Granted, I haven't read it as I can't imagine it being up my alley.

I absolutely hated Bridget Jones's Diary. I quit reading for a couple of months after reading it (not as bad as Welcome to Temptation which turned me off of reading for 6 months). I just felt it was very disempowering to women, not to mention shallow, and found all of the characters to be incredibly unlikeable. I have no problem with other people liking it, and I won't judge their tastes, but I really hated the book personally.
