two of my absolute all-time favorites! esp ATSS.

ATSS is hands down the book I recommend that every single person read. Not only is it an incredibly touching and beautiful story, but I felt like I much better understood the transition that Afghanistan went through from the 1970s to present, and was able to better appreciate why taking the Taliban down was so crucial. While the war remains controversial, it brought on a more human element to the whole conflict.
