"Read this one long, long ago and it's always been a favourite. The genteel Atticus Finch, I'm sure gave me some early values, walk in the other man's shoes, etc, the two kids, we grew up without a mother so there was an identification, the haunting figure of Boo and the way he wasn't in the end quite what he seemed...wonderful book."
