Oh! loved it, such is the wierd woman I am! I thought it was amazingly exciting and it is earmarked for a re-read, along with Quincunx and Forest of Hours(both yummy reads).

Quite a great list. Hard to believe the Paul Scotts and Joyce Cary are so underread. The three I was excited to have read turn out just slightly ove the threshold of 1,000 ratings: the Harrison, the Golding, and the Shaw.

Oh thanks for the heads-up about the 'over' s - I shall remove. When I read and they are under, I plop them on the shelf, yet tempus fugits a lot!
