Out of My Mind (Out of My Mind, #1)
by
"When I began to read this book, it reminded me of a student with whom I worked. This book parallels this students life. I have recommended this book to both students and teachers whose lives have been touched by this special student.

"I have had the privileged to word with two students who were both on the autism spectrum. This book describes the tendencies of some children with autism. This book gives one true insight on a child with autism. I loved how authentic this book is. "

The Mysterious Howling (The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place, #1)
by
"I just loved the children in this wonderful book. I loved their language and their reactions. They tried so hard to be something they were not but in the end they were true to themselves :)"

We the Children (Benjamin Pratt & the Keepers of the School, #1)
by
"This was a great mystery. The connections in this book were great! I liked that modern day students had to look to the past to help solve the mystery. When I got to the end of the book and realized that I needed to read book #2. I immediately logged on to our school's catalog to be sure that it was in our collection. Readers will want to do the same."

A Long Walk to Water
by
"This was a tough read. There is so much sadness in this book. I was excited when events turned out for the better. Some of my students thought about not finishing the book but I encouraged them to continue so that they could find the connection. "
