I don't understand what make The Da Vinci Code such a bad book. My English teacher recomended it to me as a fun read. I'm still on the fence so your comments would be appreciated.

It is awfully written. That's enough reason I think. I don't even care about the plot , when I cannot read two pages because of its bad writing style.
