Listopia > Corporate, Workplace and Capitalist Exploitation in Fiction Part III
This list is intended to index written fiction that represents a corporation's tendency to negatively influence society as well as exploit consumers and employees.
Although more broadly defined and less extreme than corporate horror, "corporate exploitation" is still an area that explores anxieties about capitalism, dehumanization and toxic cultures. The psychological impact is lessened and it is more common to see feelings of ennui expressed, perhaps with elements of science fiction or fantasy to showcase any negative effects.
Consumerism typically plays a larger role. Capitalism is often the villain.
