David Schwan Interesting to see how many vampire books in this list.

message 52: by Edwin (new)

Edwin Ah. Roppongi. My kind of story, can't wait!

The Holy Terror wrote: "Yikes, this list was a mess. I think I removed about 15 books that didn't belong. Why are people adding books released this year and last? Strange."

I know right? I saw a couple books on the list that were already published!

Kelly Raeleen wrote: "Clockword Prince comes out in december... shouldn't be on this list"

Clockwork Princess is in 2012!

Shannon Kelly wrote: "Raeleen wrote: "Clockwork Prince comes out in december... shouldn't be on this list"

Clockwork Princess is in 2012!"

Yes, but Raeleen said Clockwork Prince.

November... I answered my own question in another thread. I am not sure if this tops Insurgent on my list, but I am anxious to read it.

message 59: by Cherisse (new)

Cherisse #723 new york to dallas came out in 2011. Sorry, I tried to edit but couldn't figure out how to.

message 60: by Cherisse (new)

Cherisse #862 (last one, just above #900) Dark of the Moon has 2004 copyright.

message 61: by Shannon (new)

Shannon The edit link is right near the title.

message 62: by Cherisse (new)

Cherisse Too bad...no edit link for me :(

message 63: by Lindy (new)

Lindy Most of the 2012 books I want come out in AUGUST!!!!!!
Can we just skip 6 months of the year???

message 64: by Jan (new)

Jan Deleted a bunch of them again. Including a whole lot of James Joyce novels, Spinoza books and a King James Bible.

Loulou, most books I really look forward to come out in March, all on the same day. It's a whole new problem really, what on earth will I read first?

Lindy Jan wrote: "Deleted a bunch of them again. Including a whole lot of James Joyce novels, Spinoza books and a King James Bible.

Wow. That SUCKS! I would hate for them all to come out on the same day! I bet by the time the new school year comes around, no one will ever see me again because i'll have locked myself in my room, reading!

message 66: by Jan (new)

Jan Yeah, I'm pretty sure that'll happen to me on the 6th.

message 67: by Azard (new)

Azard God I wish A Memory of Light was coming this year
Grrrr

The Romance Bookie AlbertaJenn wrote: "There are no immediate plans to release the sequel to The Host. So a 2012 date is no-go."

I Know!! I'm getting really frustrated!! Who writes a book with such a suspenseful ending, and doesn't even make immediate plans to write the sequel??

message 69: by Shannon (new)

Shannon The Romance Bookie wrote: "Who writes a book with such a suspenseful ending, and doesn't even make immediate plans to write the sequel??"

Someone who has enough money that they never have to work another day in their life? I hope for her fans sake that she continues, it would suck if she just said, "Screw it, I don't have to ever write again."

EXACTLY!!!! :)

message 71: by Emory (new)

Emory It would be nice if books that have already been published, like Fallen, Divergent and City of Bones, were taken off the list. To people who don't know they've already been published, it's confusing. To those who do know, it's annoying.

message 72: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Feel free to edit the list, Rose.

message 73: by Rhea (last edited Feb 25, 2012 02:03PM) (new)

Rhea I removed over 120 entries today. I'm sure there are more, though. I couldn't access page 11 and I'm guessing My Soul to Steal, Pride, The House of the Scorpion, I am Number Four, Hard Times & The Scarlet Letter are hiding there.
Brontë, Dickens, Hawthorne.. Seriously? What's wrong with these people?

message 74: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Rh3a, you're awesome. I lost patience with this list and I'm glad you took the time to fix it.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with these people who add really, really old books to the list. I am perplexed at their thought process.

message 75: by Wonderly (new)

Wonderly Added the new book in the My Merlin Series coming in Summer 2012. My Merlin Awakening by Priya Ardis

message 76: by Jan (new)

Jan What makes that extra sad is that those 120 books were added in under 2 weeks, because that's when I last scrutinized the list and got rid of about the same number of books.

message 77: by Rhea (new)

Rhea Most of the books were added by 3 users: Chazspiers(85!), Sravy and Aiza.

People just have no idea how much work it takes to keep the lists clean...

message 78: by Chris (new)

Chris Ringgi mantap

message 79: by Juliet (new)

Juliet Thank you guys so much for this list! It is just what I was looking for.

Indeed.

Attempted to combine duplicates just now; it wouldn't let me. I'll try to try again later.

message 81: by Rhea (new)

Rhea I've been trying to deal with the duplicates for a couple of weeks. Seems like there's some kind of glitch.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads I wonder if we should report it at GR Feedback?

message 83: by Rhea (new)

Rhea Done :)
I'm waiting for a response now.

message 84: by Jason C (new)

Jason C You know what's sad is the majority of this list is just chick lit.

message 85: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Jason wrote: "You know what's sad is the majority of this list is just chick lit."

You know what's sad is you think the majority of us care about your opinion on the types of books we enjoy. You don't like them? Good for you. No one's telling you to read them.

message 86: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Salonen I voted for and am excited for The Winds of Winter, but I'd be struck stone dead with surprise if it's published this year!

message 87: by Kim (last edited Mar 20, 2012 07:49AM) (new)

Kim Do most of these books even have a plot?

message 88: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Kim wrote: "Do most of these books even have a plot?"

No, no plot. No pages either. Just a front cover and a back cover - pretty artwork to look at.

message 89: by Marj (new)

Marj more books to look forward to.....

message 90: by Hermione (new)

Hermione What a bunch of garbagy looking books....

message 91: by Matt (new)

Matt Someone tell me, please - are the Sookie Stackhouse books better than True Blood? Because that show became really bad, really fast.

message 92: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Matt wrote: "Someone tell me, please - are the Sookie Stackhouse books better than True Blood? Because that show became really bad, really fast."

Yes, the books are a lot better.

message 93: by Christine (new)

Christine JKR's new book should be on this list...too bad she hasn't released any information on it yet

message 94: by Kim (new)

Kim The Holy Terror wrote: "Eileen wrote: "Wow. I only got as far as page two but if this is what people are reading (enough that it constitutes a whole list) we are in trouble. Am I the only one that finds this sad?"

I agree, but at least they are reading!

message 95: by Carlos (new)

Carlos Freitas Change the name of the list to:

Can't Wait Books of 2012 for Girls

lol

Shannon Kei wrote: "Change the name of the list to:

LOL

::eyeroll::

You guys who are bitching about this list know you can add all the books you want to, right? Nobody is stopping you from adding your "literary fiction" or "books that guys like" or "books that aren't garbage." (As long as they come out this year, of course.)

Or, you know, you could just keep posting judgmental comments to make yourself feel better than the people who enjoy the books on this list.

Amara Tanith Kelly wrote: "Raeleen wrote: "Clockword Prince comes out in december... shouldn't be on this list"

Clockwork Princess is in 2012!"

The author's website says March 2013, actually.

message 98: by Ann (new)

Ann Simpson OH I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!! so many awsome books and i will have to wait month for them all!!!!

message 99: by Parker (new)

Parker I don't see an edit button and Clockwork Princess comes out in 2013 now. It shouldn't be on this list.

message 100: by Elise (new)

Elise Can't wait for some of these books to come out! Especially City of Lost Souls. Yayyyy!!!
