Ellie My votes:

1. Mockingjay (The Hunger Games #3)
2. Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy #6)
3. Crescendo (Hush, Hush #2)

like the rest of a series or something.
hope it hellps. :)

message 159: by Shannen (new)

Shannen Mockingjay will be the best!!!!! It's the best series in the whole wide world!!!!! If you haven't read the series read it NOW!!!!!!!!! Seriously, though, read the series before it comes out. You'll wanna keep going and going.

message 160: by [deleted user] (new)

I want to add The Lost Hero to that list. It is by Rick Riordan. I read the first two chapters, amazing! How can I add it???

message 161: by Ivory (new)

Ivory preordered mockingjay 3 months ago and cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

message 162: by person (new)

person God, got enough freaking vampire romance novels?!

message 163: by person (new)

person Jean wrote: "there are A LOT of books about vampires...soooooo tiring! =("

God I freaking second that.

message 164: by [deleted user] (new)

Same here. It's all because of the worst books on the planet, The Twilight "Saga"

message 165: by person (new)

person I won't pretend like I don't like The Twilight Saga, but I do hate how obnoxious it's become since the movies came out. Honestly, did we see all this hype in 2005 when the book came out?

message 166: by [deleted user] (new)

I know. The only good thing about those movies( the ones that are really bad) is Taylor Lautner becoming even more awesome. He is awesome, and has a black belt in three different styles of karate. I only have two more to go and I can catch up with him:D. Just kidding, He is awesome

message 167: by [deleted user] (new)

I was just kidding about the part that I could catch up with him, no one can do that. As I said, he is awesome

message 168: by person (new)

person Yeah, Taylor Lautner is awesome. But here's the deal, I cannot STAND the hoards of girls who have gone Team Jacob just because Taylor Launter is hotter than Rob Pattinson. Oh my God, I could just scream. It's just like, How many times do I have to tell you people that Taylor Lautner and Jacob are two different people??? TAYLOR IS HOTTER THAN ROB, BUT EDWARD IS HOTTER THAN JACOB!!!!

I could go on for hours.

message 169: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, Taylor is supposedly really sweet, too. I am sure that had some influence.

message 170: by person (new)

person Maia wrote: "Well, Taylor is supposedly really sweet, too. I am sure that had some influence."

Whatever, he's still not Jacob, he's Taylor. And there is Rob and then there is Edward. I know I sound crazy when I talk about Edward and Jacob like they're real people (which I know they're not), but I just hate how they think that Jacob is soo sweet and so hot and sexy and so much better than Edward JUST BECAUSE Taylor has all those advantages over Rob. The actors and the real characters are not the same!!!!

message 171: by Victoria (new)

Victoria i already placed hold on mockingjay

message 172: by person (new)

person Oh my God I freaking can't wait for Mockingjay... I think I'm going to die...

message 175: by Ecarey (new)

Ecarey What a list....was it written by 16 year olds? THere are some brilliant books due to be published this year. Let's start acknowledging them.

message 176: by [deleted user] (new)

I really liked The Hunger Games, but I know for a fact that many excellent adult authors have books coming out this year.

message 177: by Leah (new)

Leah OMG! Soooo many good books coming out! Can't wait!

message 178: by Stephy (new)

Stephy Ecary,

There are Several non-fiction books to which I am looking forward this year:

I've been looking forward to "Buddhayana - Living Buddhism" by Anil Goonewardene. Due out in Paperback this year.

Also "In Brown's Wake, Legacies of America's Educational Landmark" by by Martha Minow.

Next on the list is King Philip's War: Colonial Expansion, Native Resistance, and the End of Indian Sovereignty by Daniel R. Mandell.

Can you tell us to what You are looking forward with great anticipation?

message 179: by Stephy (new)

Stephy I'm delighted to see that there are books which excite the interest of young people. They are the people who will be reading in the future.
I have been 16 years old, and I remember loving a lot of books that I might not reread at sixty, but I'm glad they were there for me.
It gives me great pleasure that others share my enjoyment of books, no matter the age of the book OR the reader.
I notice you did not acknowledge any of the brilliant books which you anticipate reading.

message 180: by [deleted user] (new)

I do appreciate young adult books and am number one on the hold list for Mockingjay. However, I think it's only fair to acknowledge other genres and authors.
I am looking forward to reading:
The Red Queen by P. Gregory
Hostage Zero by Gilstrap
Ape House by Sara Gruen
Walks to Men by Ann Beattie
Widower's Tale by Julia Glass

I am so pleased to see such enthusiasm for books! I keep reading that people aren't appreciating books anymore. NOT TRUE.

message 181: by Raggedyann (new)

Raggedyann Great list!

message 182: by Stephy (new)

Stephy As the economy declines, the use of Public Libraries is increasing at an incredible rate. I would love to have enough room to own every book I have ever loved. There IS such a place: My library!
I am still working my way through Sir Terry Pratchett's DiscWorld books. So many books, so little time!

message 183: by Laura (new)

message 187: by Nathan (new)

Nathan I would like to remind several people that the title of this list is "Can't Wait Books of 2010". 2010 in large font. Neither A Dance With Dragons nor the fourth Mortal Instruments book come out this year.

message 188: by Glenn (new)

Glenn Matteson Trak wrote: "Agree Andrew. This list is about books coming out in 2010 and that would be new published novels not Breaking Dawn, not Midnight Sun, not the Host. So can we please have a little bit of objectivity..."

Here's a brand new one, "Energy" by Doc Carson. A fun read, www.doccarson.com

message 189: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Clerah wrote: "Wait why is the Host & Breaking Dawn on this list. Is there a different version or edition coming out?"

Idk but that would be awesome

message 190: by Morgan (new)

Morgan Jean wrote: "there are A LOT of books about vampires...soooooo tiring! =("

yeah there is a lot of books but pretty much all of them are so good

message 191: by Loly (new)

Loly I just love Strange fate, TVD, Ghost town, Torment, Dark flame, Misguided angels and The last sacrifice!!!!... I read a lot of books. Way more that these and these books are AMAZING and EPIC!!!!!!!!! If you didnt notice, I did NOT put twilight on because Stephenie Meyer is a really bad writer and the story is bad too!

message 192: by Loly (new)

Loly Morgan wrote: "Jean wrote: "there are A LOT of books about vampires...soooooo tiring! =("

very much true............full support :D

message 198: by Divya (new)

Divya :p Kakari wrote: "Why are the Twilight books on this list? =S"

THEY SHOULDN'T BE.

They have no literary value whatsoever.

message 199: by Breanne (new)

Breanne Tiger saga all the way!!!!

message 200: by Madison (new)

Madison I just want to say that the Twilight books are so amazing to all you people out there who haven't read them and those of you who think they are terrible books. They are so well detailed and they have lots of great fantasy suspense!
