Honestly, there is nothing wrong with Stephanie Meyer's work. After rereading her books i can understand why someone might say that she doesn't have many skills in writing because I've definitely read better, however, the story was undeniably captivating even if it was slightly unoriginal. It's so popular because Stephanie Meyer knows what teenage girls want in a book. She is talented so it's a little judgmental to say that you hate her (for all that did)if you don't know her personally and are only going by her first novel.

My daughter reads Stephanie Meyer so it is definitely generational. She enjoys her books, but she is definitely no Ann Rice who right much better. I just don't understand how so many of her books wind up on the best seller list, but at the same time I don't understand why so many movies today are considered good. Most of the Movies today coming out are garbage.
Funny thing is that I enjoy a good fictional book.

The twilight series was pretty good. But i agree they r makin too big of a deal about the books. and now its even stupider because different authors realize its so popular, and they want to make some money, so they create their own rendition of the book! It disgusts me the way some authors write now-a-days! They dont write for pure joy, makin the reader happy, and for fun, they do it for the money!

I know!! And what's with all these vampire novels suddenly being released. It annoys the hell out of me.

They are going to the well just to often in search of selling more books. Very little orginality out their these days.

It surprises me that they even sell, after reading twilight, i haven't touched any of those new vampire books. But i suppose the teenage population these days are really unoriginal too.

sorry u guys but the last time we talked about Twilight and Stephanie Meyer we got in this BIG argument, if u want proof, start reading on the 2or3 page, idk when it started.
