yuck! Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but not even the title sounds interesting.

A great Book by a first ..."
I call it writing and I'm beyond 8th grade. And I'm not meaning to be rude but why does it matter that Renee Dodd is a granddaughter of an Atlanta icon? Just curious...

Please, I cannot believe that Strephenie Myers is at the top. In the 8th grade, I would have loved this book. I am an English teacher, and I cringe each time a student writes a review on a Stephenie Myers book. I do not have to read the whole series--8th grade girls are doing it for me!

Why do you cringe?

Relaionships that haunt the world of carnivals and circuses???? WHAT?! I'm confused. How is that wonderful?

have u? It's still going strong.

Obviously u weren't paying attention to ANYTHING cuz u spelled THE wrong!

"
Well, it WAS done before a few other people got on. AFTER it was finished.

Who spelt "the" wrong? Me? Well, I couldn't find it anywhere on mine and if I did then it was an accident, called a typo. And when does a typo have anything to do with not paying attention?

it's so life changing
and your point of view on the world changes just cause of this book!!!!!

You do have the rights to express yourselves.
BUT, don't talk badly about Stephanie Meyer!
I'm not talking badly about any of YOUR favorite authors, am i?!

I love Twilight, and the Host, and I don't really care if anyone else doesn't!

Your not too old.
No one is ever to old to enjoy a good book. =)

It is so detailed, and you can feel the Melanie and Wanda's pain, happiness, sadness, anger...etc.

You can!I've only read it once though.

yuck! Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but not even the title sounds interesting.
"
Are you kidding me? It is a classic!

That's because you don't even know about my favorite author! I can say if i want to that Stephanie Meyer does not impress me.

How do you not pay attention to what you write?
BTW typos r a different way of saying "mistake" which happens when u don't pay attention.

yuck! Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but not even the title sounds interesting.
"

No, I'm not kidding you. Besides not every classic is good. Have you read The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolikien? I wouldn't say HORRIBLE since I did enjoy some of it but it is pretty bad.

I know but stephanie brought up the whole "paying attention" thing.

have u? It's still going strong.
"
Fine what DO you want to talk about?
Well, it WAS do..."

I know but stephanie brought up the whole "paying attention" thing."
My POINT was paying attention to the CONVERSATION, not the spelling. If I was talking about the spelling then I would've...*sigh* never mind.

I don't know...but I'm getting tired of having to defend a talented author, from those that disagree. I was just hoping for a subject change, but, hey, if you want to keep on talking about an author YOU don't like then go for it. I'll be here defending Stephenie Meyer the whole way.

I've only read The Host once, but I'm definitley going to read it again."
Yeah, I want to too, but i'm not sure when...

I'm also going to read the Twilight series again.
But, I have so many books on hold to read.

Lol, I just finished rereading it for the third time a few weeks ago!

"
YEAH!!!
Well, all except Breaking Dawn, my mom doesn't want me to read that yet.

Wow thx for letting more of a calmer atmosphere flow. I mean everyone was arguing. If i said something you didn't like i'm sorry but that's my opinion. i hope u r cool with everything now. I have a lot of fav. authors like J.K. Rowling, Dan brown and Harper Lee.

J.K Rowling is good, I haven't read any of the other authors.

I reccomend TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD. I know the title is confusing.(LOL) but if you read this great book you will understand why. This is about real struggle that will emotionally conect with the reader.
I hope u read it and sorry about the whole "twilight" thing but it's just an opinion so don't take it so seriously.
friends?

I know but stephanie brought up the whole "paying attention" thing."

yeah let's just forget it. what book do u reccomend?

Dan brown wrote the divinchi code and andgels&demons. Harper Lee wrote To kill a mocking bird. try them this summer.

So were cool about the Stephanie Meyer thing, right?
I mean, you don't have to like her, but some people, (not you) are really mean to her.
Yeah, I like J.K Rowling too. (Harry Potter)
I've heard about Dan Brown. (Angels and Demons)

As a long time teacher I find it alarming to hear the statistics regarding young people and their lack of recreational reading. I agree...if it results in some reading taking place, maybe that enjoyment will continue to grow.
