The movie is also very good as beautiful! I lived in Japan as a child and it bought back memories.

Bringing Vincent Home by Madeleine Mysko,
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova.
Both are very well-written, both are debut novels and both were hard to put down. " true

i kno right twilight is da best

I like dat one :P

I just joined Goodreads and am still learning how to use it.

Try this new one, Energy by Doc Carson, its a fun read, www.doccarson.com

I totally agree with you 100%! She is NOT a good writer, HATE her style!

Better vocabulary? Seriously? Only if you mean to describe how gorgeous and hot Edward is and how wonderful he is.

I'm sorry but i'm very offended by your comment. I have read the twilight series and hate it (Maybe cause i'm a guy IDK) but my mom and 4 sisters love them. I like alot of books from the teen selection (Young adult) and the adult but i hate to kill a mocking bird. I like anne rice "Interview with a Vampire" and "The Vampire Lestat" along with alot of other adult books like "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" in fact I liked that whole triogy.
The whole point of me saying all this is that i think it is mean to think all teens are that way or that the reason for this is teens (like i said my mom liked them) Thats just stereotypical.
How would you like it if i blamed the reason for some of the books up there that i don't like on all the older people on this site?
Don't blame teens, look at everyone on this site with a neutrality to it all as though everyone were some universal age. Respect the differences in taste other's have. Try some of these books that the "Teens" are comenting on because of the passion it sparks in them, maybe it will spark something in yourself.
I know i'm picky to (I hate westerns) but i have read them (Maybe you've read the twilight books to IDK) still I don't say anything such as well you're old like my parents age that was populare then but this is now.
Thats what i feel like you're saying. If you read through all this thanks :)
Thats about everythng i have to say,
Yours truly,
Luke

Your English skills leave much to be desired. How is it that you can read and yet are unable to write?
Just because Twilight is at the top of the list, doesn't mean it's a bad list. This list is open to all ages, and though it isn't an amazing book in terms of literary value, it is highly entertaining, addictive, as well as being an easy read. I think I knocked all 4 books over in 3 days. Maybe less. Have I read better? Of course I have. So have most people. That said, it still doesn't decrease my love for the books, and if I want an easy read and I'm bored... I know Twilight ensures entertainment. My recommendations for this list however consist of Mockingjay, Cosmopolis, This Is Where I Leave You, The Perks of Being a Wall Flower, and The Night Watch. All 5 books I'm eager to read once I've completed Catching Fire, and On The Road.

While I do believe this is a good book, don't you think the weird names for the different worlds/species kind of takes away from the book. The names are weird, and it doesn't feel like they should be named what they are. Glad you're enjoying it though, it's a great story line. I just wish SM was a little more realistic in naming things.

You go, Luke. The point of social media, and user reviews, is to free us from the "these people like this" mentality of publishers, reviewers, and chainstore policy makers. Read what calls to you, no matter what anyone else says. I appreciate what To Kill a Mockingbird says as a social/historical message, but I can't say I enjoyed it.
As my plug for the day, if you like fantasy/romance, and brilliant writing, consider The Ballad of Young Tam Lin. Tam Lin must choose between his lover, the Queen of Elfland, and the young and (formerly) innocent Lady Janet Dunbar, the unmarried mother of his unborn baby. Sensual without being graphic, touching, thought-provoking, and gripping.

When you are ready, check out Amazon's "Create Space." None of the economic traps of conventional self-publishing.
