I know right? The idea of the Capitol and the Hunger Games seems so unreal, like it'd never happen in a million years. But I think it's on this list because of the love triangle happening between Peeta, Katniss, and Gale.

I think it mostly depends on where you're coming from and what your experiences are. For me, I didn't really experience problems with school, dating, divorce or siblings... Or rather, I guess I did but they didn't even seem like problems compared to the "real" problems in my life (depression, drug addiction in friends, friends being physically abused, being emotionally abused, suicide attempts). When I look back at my teen years I don't even remember anything about the problems you think are most relevant, because when you have a lot going on in your life a sibling squabble doesn't really register.

i have not read speak, but i loved cut so much and I really loves 13 Reasons Why however i don't know if i would read it more than 2 times

Though The Hunger Games seems a little strange to be on the list still :P
I wouldn't say My sisters keeper is YA... more adult

yeah i've seen that movie, with kristen bell?
Ummm....My sisters keeper isn't teen fiction it's adult fiction
How is Annie on My Mind not higher up??? And Luna???

This one definitely deserves to be on there with suicidal thoughts, depression, mental health, family issues, the death of a family member..

Whenever I look up YA books, fantasay books like Divergent come up, I think thats why they said "real problems"

SPEAK WAS MADE INTO A MOVIE, IT WAS PRETTY GOOD."

my all time favorite book ever!!!!"
Dude I feel you

I love the way it made me think and it was definitely one of those books you think that everyone needs to read for like the world to be complete. 13 Reasons Why was also amazing and very, very haunting. I felt so connected to the characters!

I've seen so many lists that have books that don't apply added.
It's kind of catty but it feels like if it's a site about reading folks should be able to read and understand the topic of the lists.
Makes it difficult to wade through when looking for a certain book, in a certain genre, of which you cannot remember the title, but might when you see the name or the cover art.
