I think the most positive thing I can say about this list is that at least there are (hopefully) younger generations falling in love with reading. Even if I personally think certain books are complete garbage and that the lovers of those books need to broaden and rethink their literary choices drastically. Silver linings.
This is evidently a popularity contest, not a quality contest. Why do people find it so hard to differentiate between favourite and best. My favourite novel is Something Happened, by Joseph Heller, but it isn't the best novel I've read. That would be The Tin Drum, by Gunter Grass. So that gets my one and only vote.
