Lots of good books on the list. I think the Twilight Series was good for the tweens that voted it best books ever read. This too shall pass! Come on people we were all young once. I'm thinking back to when I was a pre-teen and I'm reminded of books that I read, which I thought were the best. Some of those still remain as wonderful books and others I will just have to believe were on my list because of where I was at that point in my life. Go back in your memory and think about what you read at that time and you may change your opinion about all those that posted about this being THE BEST!

Too funny. One of my favorite quotes of all time. I love this movie!

"Amazing" is not enough a word to condense Hamlet´s reading description OR ANY OTHER. In spite of this, I voted...for this and others.Which words should be found to describe what you love, anyway?
Anything writen by Shakespeare I give five stars. William Shakespeare is a genius. YOOHOO!!! GO HAMLET!!
In case you didn't get it, I like William Shakespeare.

To Kristen. I'm annoyed with Twilight to. It gets waaaaaaay to much attention. What is it that you don't like? I think that everyone in it is way to suicidle (Sorry, i didn't spell that right). but, you must admit, if you've read the books, you would know that James is pertty cool.

To true, to true. Ya know, if Twilight wasn't a movie, it might still be okay. I think, cause I saw the movie and read the books, and the movie spoiled it for me. I wasn't a huge fan to begin with, but the movie, both movies actually, made me like it less. The actors were terrible to. It was like with the Percy Jackson series. But I still like those books.

LOL! I agree

Just take a look at it. It may surprise you.

I'm still kind of sad to see that A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is only 73rd. D:

Chances are people are not adding their own books, they merely go through the front page and vote for what they've read or found at least decent. Or think they should be voting for. Oh, and Mormons spam, but no one takes them seriously anyhow.

Go ahead with your Tombstone reference!!! Love it!
I'm your Huckleberry!!

The variety of books on this list is amazing! I'm a bit sad that Twilight is up so high on the list--not because I think it's wrong that someone enjoyed Twilight, but because I don't think it will qualify for the title "ever". In fact, I think that the fad will probably last a few more years and then it will just be something we look back on and say, "I remember when that was popular."
I think a book needs a bit more of a message to it to be remembed for "ever". Some of the books on this list have morals that will stick with me. Twilight just sort of taught me, "Maybe if my blood smells good, I'll find a husband at age eighteen." Haha! :)

where's the unbearable lightness of being?
I am surprised that the Hunger Games and Catching Fire are not on the top of the page.

I could barely get past the first book.

I loathe twilight. Seriously.
Why is Twilight here and not Harry Potter? Harry Potter is definitely better
